Men Ought Always to Pray

“And He spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint:” …Luke 18:1

Prayer is a method we use to communicate with the Father. To establish a relationship and to obtain our needs as well as our desires. James 4:2 says, “…Ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not”. We ask in prayer. Let us establish a relationship with Yah and enjoy his love and treasures.

You may say, “But I don’t know how to pray. I don’t know how to begin. I don’t know what to pray.” Below is an acrostic, A.C.T.S., that will help you get started. It is an easy way to remember key elements of prayer. It’s simply prayer in four parts:

Adoration – “…Blessed be Elohiym” - Psalms 68:35. Tell Elohiym how much you appreciate Him. Express your love for Him. Praise His power and majesty. This is a great way to begin your prayer time. Praise Elohiym for the beauty of His creation. You should never run out of praise. “…How terrible art thou in thy works!...” - Psalms 66:3

Confession – “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” - 1 John 1:9. Tell Elohiym where you have fallen short. Be specific. Thank Him for the forgiveness you have in Mashiach and ask for help and strength to turn away from future temptations.

Thanksgiving – Always “…magnify Him with thanksgiving” - Psalms 69:30. You have plenty of reasons to be thankful. Thank Elohiym for His love, His faithfulness, His patience and a million other things. Express gratitude for what He’s doing in your life. Thank Yahusha for dying on the cross for you. Thank the Ruach Hakodesh for indwelling you, and never leaving. Thank Him for being your conscience, your counselor and that “still small voice.” If you can’t think of anything to say, just say, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. Continue until the Ruach Hakodesh lets you know to stop.

Supplication – “…Let your requests be made known unto Elohiym.” - Philippians 4:6. Let your requests be made known to Elohiym, no matter how small or petty it seems to you. Do you really think any of your requests are big to Elohiym the Creator of all? You should also have lots of intercessory prayer requests during this time. You may even find yourself praying for others more than you are praying for yourself.

When you pray, pray the scriptures. Pray Elohiym’s word back to Him. Remind Him of his promises. Remind Him of what He says. Open your Bible and pray the scriptures. Before you know it, you won’t need to open the Bible to read the scriptures. They will be imprinted on your mind and in your heart and flow out of you.

Luke 18:1 says, “…Men ought always to pray and not to faint”. Pray! Pray! Pray!

Love you all

CALL TO MEN

1 Kings 2:1-4, “Now the days of David drew nigh that he should die; and he charged Solomon his son, saying, I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and shew thyself a man; and keep the charge of Yahuah thy Elohiym, to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, and His commandments, and His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself: that Yahuah may continue His word which He spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said He) a man on the throne of Israel.

Be ready.

“…I go the way of all the earth…”

You must make peace with Elohiym (God) and be prepared to die. We all will die. We must have our trust in the living Elohiym knowing that one day He will bring us home. Our issue is not whether or not we will die but if we are ready when we die!

Be strong.

“…be thou strong…”

David is not talking about physical strength but Spiritual. Paul stated in Ephesians 6:10, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the power of His might.

1 Timothy 4:8, “For bodily exercise profiteth little but godliness is profitable unto all.”

Choose to pursue spiritual strength as you exercise yourself in prayer, Bible reading, studying, and daily Godly living.

Be a man.

“…shew thyself a man…”

Today’s society views real men as aggressive and muscular in appearance and macho in disposition, but Elohiym sees real men differently. Micah 6:8, “He has shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth YAHUAH (the LORD) require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy Elohiym.”

Men we are to live in such a way that the world can see that we are different. A real man can stand when no one agrees with him. He will fight for what is right, even in the mist of opposition.

Keep the charge.

“…and keep the charge of YAHUAH (the Lord) thy Elohiym…”

We are to keep the charge by doing all that Elohiym has commanded. If you have served in the Military (which most of us have) we know that when a command is given, the reply is “Yes, Sir or Aye, Aye, Sir” and move out swiftly. It should be the same with our Elohiym. Whatever He commands, we obey.

Walk in His ways.

“…to walk in His ways…”

It is often said that the will of Elohiym will not take you where the grace of Elohiym cannot keep you. Don’t be afraid to follow Elohiym. He loves you and will not harm you. He knows what is best for you. He does not call the prepared, but He prepares the called. What a Elohiym we serve.

Keep His word.

“…to keep his commandments, and his judgements, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses. Yahusha (Jesus) said “If you love Me keep my commandments.” John 14:15

You might think that trying to keep Yah’s commandments are difficult but remember what Yahusha said in Matthew 11: 28-30, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me: for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your soul. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

When we are obedient to Him, keeping His word brings us joy.

Experience the results.

“…that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself…”1 Kings 2:3

Joshua 1:8  “This book of the law shall not depart out of thou mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous and then thy shalt have good success.”

Blessing and success are found by following the word of Elohiym.

Men, David left a message for Solomon his son, but he also left a message for us. Let us be men and follow the leading of Mashiach (Christ).

Love you all

SABBATH OBSERVANCE

I would like to say that there is no biblical basis for changing or ignoring the Sabbath or Feast days. No where in the Bible does Yahuah (the Lord), Yahusha (Jesus) or the Apostles authorize their changes or end. The change of the Sabbath in Christianity occurred over time as Christians drifted away from the Hebrew roots of their truth.

When believers learned through the scriptures that the Sabbath was still relevant for today, naturally what followed were many questions about what it meant to follow this commandment. What does it mean to rest on the Sabbath and keep it Holy? What should we do and not do on this day?

REMEMBER!

We are told in Exodus 20:8 to remember the Sabbath day. That means don’t forget about it! Thus, the first step is making a commitment to keep it. That means when making your weekly schedule, keep in mind that the Sabbath is a day of rest.  Not only must we keep it, Yahuah also kept it. Six-days, Yahuah worked and on the seventh day He rested (Genesis 2:2-3,Exodus 20:11). Don’t make any plans on the Sabbath day that would distract you from keeping this day. Remember the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath (Mark 2:27).

REST/DON’T WORK

The Sabbath is to be kept every seventh day, from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown. On this day there is to be no work-that is, whatever you do for income will not be done on this day. It is a day of rest/worship and acknowledgement of our Elohym (God). Not only are you to keep the Sabbath but everyone in your household is to keep the Sabbath. (Deuteronomy 5:12-14)

DON’T BUY OR SELL

We are prohibited from buying or selling on the Sabbath day, (Nehemiah 10:31). Make sure you go grocery shopping and run your errands on the other six days of the week. That also means you should not be going to your favorite restaurant to eat. If you do you are causing others to break the Sabbath day of rest for you. The Sabbath is a special day of rest and a time to spend with Elohym, family, and friends.

IMPORTANT TO ELOHYM

If you have read your Bible you should know how important this day is to Yahuah and to Yahusha.  Yahusha said, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.”

The on line dictionary’s definition of Fulfill: to bring into actuality, effect or make real “fulfill their promises.”  To do, perform, or obey (a task or order) carry out. To meet (a requirement or condition). NOT to end!

I could have gone further in this but will leave the choice to you. You either believe or not.

So, REMEMBER THE SABBATH TO KEEP IT HOLY! Hallelu-Yah.

Love you all

Failure of Praying Men

“And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none”... Ezekiel 22:30

Yahuah does nothing upon this earth but in answer to prayer. James said, “…Yet you have not, because you ask not” (James 4:2).

We spend our time in protest but not in prayer. For some strange reason we think that Elohiym will just do what is best for us. We forget that Elohiym gave this world to us. “The heaven, even the heavens, are Yahuah’s: But the earth hath He given to the children of men”... Psalms 115:16

When we do not hear from Yahuah it’s because we have stopped talking to Him. The Word says, “Call unto me and I will answer thee,…”… Jeremiah 33:3.

Sin keeps a man away from Yahuah. Sin hides Yahuah’s face from us. We cannot pray as long as our sin remains. Sin on the rise in our churches proves that we are not praying. It is because the men and women who are supposed to be praying are fast asleep. “But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way”…Matthew 13:25.

“And He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor…”… Isaiah 59:16.

“And He spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;”…Luke 18:1

We must have a heart of prayer because Yahuah is always looking for someone to stand in the gap as stated in Ezekiel. We are called to be watchmen, standing on the wall, guarding the city and the people of Yahuah! We are to be watchful and not fall asleep. Peter said, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”… 1 Peter 5:8.

So, my fellow laborers, be sober, be watchful, your brothers are in need of your prayers.

Love you all

Yahusha is Elohiym

The last few days, I have heard people say that Yahusha (Jesus) was not Elohiym (God). It blows my mind because it does not take much to prove Yahusha is Elohiym. For instance, just using common sense, if He was not Elohiym how could he die for the world. An angel could die for one person but not for the world.

It takes someone who can give life to save life. I am not talking about physical life but spiritual life. You can save a person’s physical life, but no matter how hard you try you cannot save him spiritually. Only Yahuah (the Lord) can do that.

Getting back to my topic, speaking of Yahusha’s diety, John 1:1-5 states, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohiym, and the Word was Elohiym. The same was in the beginning with Elohiym. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” Then in that same chapter, verse 14 states, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

To sum it all up, Isaiah 9:6 states plainly, “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

Yahusha said to the Pharisees in John 8:24, “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins.” King James placed the He for clarity but Yahusha is saying what Yahuah said in Exodus 3:14, “And Elohiym said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and He said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.”

Yahusha also said in John 10:30, “I and my Father are one.”

Yahusha IS Elohiym

Love you all

HAS THE LAW BEEN DONE AWAY WITH PART 2

Where there is no moral law, there is no law of decency to break. People are free to function without restraint.

Sin must be defined for us to recognize we are trapped in its snare. Elohiym (God) gave us a clear definition of sin in His ten commandments. Without this people cannot recognize their pitiful condition or their need for a savior.

Matthew 5:17, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy but to fulfill”.

The law guards us from sin by giving us standards of behavior. Convicts us of sin leaving us the opportunity to ask Elohiym’s forgiveness. Drives us to trust in the sufficiency of Mashiach (Christ), because we can never keep the Ten Commandments perfectly. The law cannot possibly save us. After we become Christians, it can guide us to live as Elohiym requires.

In Matthew 7:22-23, “Many will say to me in that day, Adoni, Adoni, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And Then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (practice lawlessness)”.

Yahusha (Jesus) is saying because we have failed to keep His law, we are not a part of Him. You cannot be saved and not keep the commandments of Yahuah (the Lord). Remember Yahuah gave the Ten Commandments verbally to the people himself (Exodus 20:1-17).

Elohiym gave Moses two tablets of stone written with His own finger (Exodus 31:18, Exodus 32:15-16, Exodus 32:19, Exodus 34:1). Elohiym rewrote the Ten Commandments after Moses broke them. He had Moses to place them in the Ark of the Covenant for an everlasting covenant (Deuteronomy 10:1-5). Deuteronomy 5:22 states he wrote the Ten Commandments and added no more. He saw it as perfect when he wrote it!!

Elohiym Bless You All

Love you!!

HAS THE LAW BEEN DONE AWAY WITH?

To answer this question, we must first ask ourselves another question. What according to the Bible is sin?

When asked this question Christians will give you all kind of answers, but few know that the Bible gives us the exact definition of sin. 1 John 3:4 says, “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law; for sin is the transgression of the law.” If we have no law we cannot possibly sin because as stated above, sin is the transgression of the law. Romans 5:13 says, “(for until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law”. If sin is breaking the law, how can anyone sin today if there is no law.

The belief that Yahusha (Jesus) put an end to Elohiym’s (God’s) law is an idea that comes directly from satan. It is an attempt by satan to mislead Elohiym’s people so that they will be destroyed. Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shall be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy Elohiym, I will also forget thy children.” John 8:31-32 states, “Then said Yahusha to the Yahudims (Judah) which believed on Him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”.

If we want to be free, we must know the truth. What is the truth?

Yahusha said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father but by me”. Psalms 119:142, “Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth”.

We see the law of Elohiym and our Savior, Yahusha, are both considered to be the truth, therefore, we need both of them to walk correctly. Not only must we believe in Yahusha, but we must also keep the law. Listen, Revelation 14:12,  “Here is the patience of the saints; here are they that keep the commandments of Elohiym; and the faith of Yahusha”. My brother righteousness does not come by the law but the law guards us from sin by giving us a standard of behavior. 1 John 2:4 says, “He that says, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him”.

Some say we are supposed to keep his commandments but not his law. Well, a law is a commandment and His commandments a law. 1 John 2:3-4 says,  “and hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him”.

I will continue this at a later time!

I love you all

When Death Meets Life

“And it came to pass the day after, that He went into a city called Nain, and many of His disciples went with Him, and much people. Now when He came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. And when Yahuah saw her, He had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. And He came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. And he that was dead say up, and began to speak. And He delivered him to his mother”... Luke 7: 11-15

Now the greatest certainty of every life here on earth today is, we will all die. No one has beaten death yet, we will not be the first. The goal is to be ready (Matthew 24:44), and to know Yahusha Hamashiach (Jesus Christ) for who He is. We will all live again. The question is, Where?

In our text we have Yahusha entering a city called Nain. A city He has never been before and would never go again. There, two crowds meet at the gate of the city. Many people said if this procession had been one minute late, they would have missed this miracle, but I beg to differ. Elohiym (God) does nothing by chance but all by His Devine purpose.

When Elohiym told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac (Genesis 22:2), (a test of faith), he would have done it, but Elohiym stopped him. Abraham believed that Elohiym was able to raise Isaac from the dead. Abraham looked around and saw a ram caught in the thicket by its horns (Genesis 22:13). Coincidence? No God’s Divine purpose.

When Ruth and Naomi entered into Canaan, Ruth did all that she could to provide for her and Naomi. She went to a field to glean the leftovers from the harvest, as provided by the law. She happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the clan of Elimelech. Of course, Boaz just happens to be single and he just happens to be a kinsman of Naomi’s who could redeem her dead husband’s property. There was a closer kinsman, but he just happens to lack interest. So, Boaz marries Ruth and they have a son, Obed, who fathers Jesse, who fathers David, who generations later has a son named Yahusha. You can read the story of Ruth in the book of Ruth and the lineage of Yahusha in Matthew 1.

The word of Elohiym says that Yahusha was leaving Judea to go to Galilee, but He must need go through Samaria. He met a woman who had been married five times. She came to the well at noon to get water, something she had done many times before, but this time she got saved and evangelized the whole town. (John 4:1-39) Coincidence? I think not. But God’s Divine purpose.

Now back to my story. These two processions met on the road to Nain. One held a group filled with life and excitement led by Yahusha and the other filled with death and despair led by a widow. This procession was the final one for the son, or so they thought. As the saying goes, Yahuah may not be there when you want Him but He is always right on time. Here Psalms 85:10 is fulfilled, “Mercy and truth are met together, Righteousness and peace have kissed each other”. All of this is done or fulfilled in Mashiach.

Men listen, I don’t care the condition of your marriage, your finances, or your health. Don’t give up because the giver of life is there with you. He promised, He would never leave thee nor forsake thee (Hebrews 13:5). He said to Martha, “…I am the resurrection and the life…” (John 11:25) and to Abraham He said, “Is anything too hard for Yahuah?...” (Genesis 18:14).

Wait upon Him (Isaiah 40:31) and trust Him (Proverbs 3:5-6). He will bring you through!!

Love you all

Our Adversary

1 Peter 5:8, “Be sober be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”

Peter gives us two (2) strategies:

  1. Be sober: clear headed, being able to apply your mind in situations, and not behaving like one who is dull or drunk.
  2. Be vigilant: watchful, being on guard or attentive.

Our adversary: (the devil), an opponent, an enemy who is identified by his behavior.

The devil: Peter wants you to know just who you are up against: your true enemy, false accuser, slanderer. He does not face you head on but is a deceiver or a backstabber. He specializes in fear. He uses it to control us. Yahusha (Jesus) said in John 10:10, “He comes to steal, kill, and destroy:…”.

As a roaring lion: This roaring is his method of causing fear. You hear the roar when the doctor says you have cancer. When your spouse says she wants a divorce. Many say he has no power but is as a roaring lion. I beg to differ. Peter is here describing his insatiable appetite. He is walking to and fro upon the earth seeking whom he might destroy. He cannot destroy all, but rest assured he will destroy all he can.

Our enemy does not seek to hurt or harm his prey, he seeks to destroy it. The devil does not seek to hurt or harm the children of Yahuah (the LORD), he seeks to destroy us. The word devour literally means to gulp down. He is not playing, he intends to gulp us down.

As Watchmen we need to stand on the wall and warn our families and people of Elohim of impending attacks. We are fighting a spiritual enemy who is constantly on the war path. Ephesian 6:12 says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

We are coming to the place in this country where our enemy is gaining momentum picking up more soldiers for his army.

Be ye also ready!!!

Love you all

Will He Find Faith on the Earth

Luke 18:1-8, “And He spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not faint; Saying, there was in a city a judge, which feared not Elohiym (God), neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto Him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And He would not for a while: but afterward He said within Himself, Though I fear not Elohiym, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth Me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And Yahuah (the Lord) said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not Elohiym avenge His own elect, which cry day and night unto Him, though He bear long with them?I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?”

2 Thessalonians 2:3, “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of Perdition.”

Listen men, we often say with conviction that there will be a great falling away from the Church of Mashiach (Christ) but we never say why we think this will happen. As I look around, I can see it happening more and more. Why? Our country is becoming more and more violent. People are being shot down in the streets by the police. Children are being kidnapped and put into brothels for the pleasures of sick old men. Gunmen have entered schools and kill children and teachers alike.

The people most involved in the fight against these atrocities are the church. We have prayed and prayed calling out to Elohiym, but it appears there is no answer. So, what do we do? We begin to march and protest. We are not praying, we are marching and protesting. We have lost patience with Elohiym. We have forgotten that Elohiym’s timing is not our timing, nor His ways our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9).

We are also being bombarded on every side, first COVID, then the vaccine. Should I take it or not take it? Know this, whatever you decide don’t lose faith in our Elohiym. Psalms 112: 7 says, “He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his Heart is fixed, trusting in Yahuah.” Sometimes Elohiym takes a while because He is proving our faith. Don’t get discouraged. Psalms 27:14 says, “Wait on Yahuah: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine Heart: wait, I say on Yahuah.”

People are walking away from the church because they think they have a better chance with the unjust Judge. You don’t. If you are not careful, just like Pharaoh did to the children of Yashar’el (Israel), he will tighten the noose on your necks.

We need to let Elohiym work this out.  2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” Don’t walk away from Elohiym. Don’t lose faith in Him. He is coming back in an hour we least expect (Matthew 24:44). Will He find us ready for Him? WILL HE FIND FAITH IN YOU????

Love you all

SHOW YOURSELF A MAN

1 Kings 2:1-4, “Now the days of David drew nigh that he should die; and he charged Solomon his son, saying, I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and shew thyself a man; I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and shew thyself a man; and keep the charge of Yahuah thy Elohiym, to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, and His commandments, and His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself: that Yahuah may continue His word which He spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said He) a man on the throne of Israel.

Be ready.

“…I go the way of all the earth…”

You must make peace with Elohiym (God) and prepared to go. We all will go. We must have our trust in the living Elohiym knowing that one day He will bring us home.

Be strong.

“…be thou strong…”

David is not talking about physical strength but Spiritual. Paul stated in Ephesians 6:10, “Finally, my brethren, be strong…”.

1 Timothy 4:8, “For bodily exercise profiteth little…”.

A real man is able to stand when no one agrees with him.

Keep the charge.

“…and keep the charge of YAHUAH thy Elohiym…”

We are to keep the charge by doing all that Elohiym has commanded. If you have served in the Military (which most of have) we know that when a command is given, the reply is “Yes, Sir or Aye, Aye, Sir” and move out swiftly.

Keep His word.

“…to keep his commandments, and his judgements, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses…”

You might think that trying to keep these commandments are difficult but remember what Yahusha (Jesus) said in Matthew 11: 28-30, “Come unto me…”.

When we are obedient to Him keeping His word brings us joy.

Experience the results.

“…that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself…”

Joshua 1:8, “This book of the law…”

Blessing and success are found by following the word of Elohiym.

Men, David left a message for Solomon his son but he also left a message for us. Let us be men and follow the leading of Mashiach.

Love you all

Occupy Till I Come

Matthew 25:14-30

First, while Yahusha is away, the believer is to do something: Work—work faithfully and diligently. Second, while Yahusha is away, the believer is to know something: His work will be greatly rewarded or severely judged.

Watching and waiting for the Kingdom means being prepared. It does not imply sitting idle waiting for the masters return but to be found working at the task given.

As the parable begins, we find Yahuah as He prepares to go on a long journey, calls His own servants, and delivered unto them His goods.

Notice He called them and gave them His goods. Elohiym places us in His service by calling us and then equipping us for the service He calls us to do. We are not saved by works but we are saved to work.

The Distribution of the Goods

Unto one He gave five talents, to another two and to another one, every man according to his several abilities. These talents are not ours but Yahuah’s. The servants in this parable represent the followers of Mashiach: we are not our own. We have been “bought with a price”, 1 Corinthians 6:20. Not “with corruptible things, as silver and gold…but with the precious blood of Mashiach”, 1 Peter 1:18,19. That they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and rose again”, 2 Corinthians 5:15.

We receive the talents according to our abilities to handle them. Not many of us are able to handle five talents. Those with much ability are given the five talents. Those of average ability are given the two talents. Those with minimal ability receive the one talent which is most of us. Elohiym is saying it is not so much the amount you receive but what you do with what you receive. David said, “I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my Elohiym, than to dwell in the tents of the wicked”, Psalm 84:10b

It is not the amount of the endowment that you have that is important but how faithful you are in the use of it. These talents were not given primarily for our personal gain and glory but to profit our Divine Master.

It is estimated that the talents were worth about 1,000 US dollars. The first servant was given $5,000, the second was given $2,000 and the last was given $1,000, indicating they had more than enough to invest.

The talents represent opportunities to use our abilities. We have been assigned our ministries according to the abilities and gifts Elohiym has given us. I read where a man said that Elohiym does not put a lake in a bucket. What Elohiym gives each person is exactly what they can handle.

Ecclesiastes 9:10, “whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, no knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.”

The Use and Abuse of the Talents

“…straight way he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them another five talents. And like wise he that had received two he gained another two 2” (Matthew 25:16, 17). The scripture said straightway, which means immediately. They did not know how long their Master would be away, so as soon as he left they started to trade. When Yahusha went away, on the day of Pentecost his disciples also began to preach the gospel and saved over 3,000 people on that day (Acts 2:41) They immediately began to work because they too did not know when the Master would return.

In the book of Exodus Moses went upon Mount Sanai to receive the decalogue from Elohiym. When he came down, after 40 days and 40 nights, the people had made a golden calf, some were naked and partying like it was 1999. Yahusha has been gone for almost 2000 years, you can imagine what He will find when He returns.

Each believer should faithfully carry out the duties entrusted to him or her by Elohiym and multiply his or her Elohiym given gifts for the sake of the Kingdom. We must not make excuses to avoid doing what Elohiym called us to do. Elohiym truly is our Master, so we must obey Him. Our time, abilities, and money aren’t really ours, we are stewards not owners. When we ignore, squander or abuse what we have been given, we are rebellious and deserve to be punished. Know this, on the day our Yahuah returns we will have to give an account of the talents we were given.

The sad part of the story in Matthew 25 is that the man with only one talent failed to trade with it and multiply it. He dug a hole, wrapped it in a handkerchief, buried it and hid his Yahuah’s money (Matthew 25:18). We must realize that it is Yahuah’s money and not only was this servant lazy, but he was disobedient to his Yahuah. He was, I suppose, afraid to use the talent because he thought he would lose it. You cannot lose what you use. You will always gain. How many people in our churches are sitting or burying the talents that Yahuah has trusted us with? We two should be afraid. We attend our churches every Sunday knowing we have a gift from Elohiym and we sit on it not realizing we must give an account of the talent when he returns.

Sometimes we see a person in the church exhibiting many gifts and we become jealous of them. But remember, Elohiym only give us what we are capable of using. We must first learn to use the gift that we have. If we use it with all of our might, e Hwill reward us with others.

The Reward and the Rebuke

“after a long time Yahuah of those servant cometh and recokoneth with them” (Matthew 25:19). Yahusha is not saying this because He himself will not be back for centuries. Peter said, “He is coming back like a thief in the night” (2 Peter 3:10), meaning He will come at anytime. Matthew 24:44 says, “be ready…”. We are to be about the business of trading with the talents that Elohiym has given us because that is what He is coming to collect. Remember they are His. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 4:2, “moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”  It is our responsibility to use the talents he gave to promote the Kingdom.

As the stewards came to Yahuah, they gave their report. He that had five talents said “Yahuah thy delivered unto me five talents I have gained besides them five talents more. His Yahuah said unto him well done, thy good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Yahuah” (Matthew 25:20-21).

He also that had received two talents came and said, “Yahuah…” (Read Matthew 25:22-23)

Then he which had received the one talent came and said, “Yahuah, I knew thee that thou art a hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: and I was afraid and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast what is thine. His Yahuah answered and said unto him, thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowest not, and gather where I have not strawed”. (Read Matthew 25:24-26)

Yahuah is not agreeing with the man in His analogy of him. He is simply stating that if he felt that way about Him it should have scared him to simply put the money under a rock and give it back. He stated that he should have put the money in the bank to draw interest and He would have gotten his money with interest (Matthew 25:27).

The verdict: He takes the talent that He has given him and gives it to the servant with ten talents. In essence, if you don’t use it, you could lose it.

Yahuah has entrusted us with His talents. He has said to us, “Occupy till I come” (Luke 19:13). We must take the talent and diligently work with all our might that He will be pleased with us when He returns. Mashiach paid us our wages when He gave up His life on cavalry.

Love you all

The Two Gates

Matthew 7:13-14, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

Man has roads of travel. Here we have two gates, but man faces and sees only one gate, the wide gate. He cannot see the straight gate it has to be searched for and found.

The strait gate is found through repentance and must be sought for. It is also difficult to enter when found. It is very narrow, restrictive, and contains laws. There is only one way to enter through this gate. One must not conform to this world but must be transformed by renewing of his mind. (Romans 12:2)

“Then said one unto Him, Yahuah (the Lord), are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” (Luke 13: 23-24)

The wide gate is the easy way. No restrictions. You are able to bring all of your baggage (sins, worldliness, alternate lifestyles) with you and continue to live as you please. The wide way is also the popular way. Many travel on it, but popularity does not constitute righteousness. The majority is not always right, quite the contrary. Yahuah’s people have always been a remnant, He chose a people not a nation nor a world.

The straight gate is just that, straight and narrow. In order to enter we must give up those things that cause Yahuah to reject us (sin, disobedience, alternate lifestyles, lying) and other sinful behavior. Many people who say they trust in Yahuah never leave the broad way with its appetites and associations. They have an easy Christianity which makes no demands on them. Yet Yahuah said the narrow way is difficult. He said strive to enter in which means to struggle.

In Philippians 3:14, Paul said, “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of Elohiym (God) in Mashiach Yahusha (Christ Jesus).” It takes a pressing to enter in. It is a doing not a saying. To justify the talk you must walk the walk. James 1:22, “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”

Yahuah has always given us options. He wants us to choose Him because we love Him and want to please Him. We have always had options. Genesis 2:17, “But of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die”. Deuteronomy 30:15, “See, I have set before thee this day life and good and death and evil.”  1 Kings 18:21, “And Elijah came unto all the people and said. How long halt ye between two opinions? If Yahuah be Elohiym follow Him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.” Listen, we must follow the narrow road. Many Christian’s today have blended with the world and we cannot tell the difference. They think they are on their way to heaven. We keep forgetting 1 John 2:15, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”  Yahuah is not playing with us. There will be no excuses when He returns. Paul stated in 2 Corinthians 6:2, “(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee; behold now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation.)”

The Bible says that when Yahusha (Jesus) breaks the sky, Revelation 22:11, “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still; and he that is holy, let him be holy still.“ Whatever state you are found in when He returns, that is your state in judgement.

I pray that the things I am saying do not offend you, that is not our goal. Our goal is to speak the truth in LOVE. Withholding nothing!!! We must get SAVED NOW!!!

Love you all

Show Yourself a Man

1 Kings 2:1-3… Now the days of David drew nigh that he should die; and he charged Solomon his son, saying, ‘I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and show thyself a man; and keep the charge of Yahuah thy Elohim, to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, and His commandments, and His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself.’

  1. ‘I go the way of all the earth: be strong and show thyself a man.’
  2. Keep the charge of Yahuah thy Elohim.
    • Walk in His ways.
    • Keep His statutes.
    • Keep His commandments.
    • Keep His testimonies.

Men, all of us are going to die one day, so we must prepare our children by teaching them to follow Elohim, especially our sons. They will have to bear the burden of leading a family and raising sons themselves. David gave a blueprint for Solomon. He instructed him to be strong and prove himself to be a man. In other words, don’t sit around crying for me. I’m good; I am with Yahuah. Be strong, even though you are young; show yourself a man. The throne will need you to be strong and manly. You must keep Elohim’s commandments and walk in His ways. Live as I have lived before you, and you will prosper.

Don’t allow the cares of this world to distract you from keeping and obeying Yahuah’s commandments and instructions. He will provide for those who trust in Him.

God bless you

I love you all
